Welcome to St. Constantine’s International School.

Welcome to SCIS! We are a dynamic international community who are deeply connected to the culture and language of Tanzania. We take inspiration from our Greek heritage and maintain a future focus. We live by our school motto, ‘Pan metron ariston’ (all things in good measure). Our school is a well-rounded environment where our students grow and thrive. Emphasis on ‘host, home, heritage’ develops self-awareness and confidence, and cultivates understanding across religions, cultures and nationalities. We maintain high standards of mutual respect and kindness, and we embed PSHE and future skills into daily learning. We offer many opportunities for student leadership and learning beyond the classroom through our affiliation with Round Square and other national and international organisations, as well as our own initiatives.

At SCIS, we are committed to best practice in education and significant progress in learning. Students are expected to bring their best effort in all areas, including academics and language, sports and creative arts, and to consider the value of what they are learning. Students have opportunities to explore and develop their interests, gain work experience, set goals and determine a strong path to a specific career or to maintain flexibility. Teachers participate in both internal and external professional development, including annual conferences with international education associations such as COBIS and AISA. We maintain open communication with students and families through regular feedback for students, information evenings for parents and guardians, meetings with teachers, and published reports, in addition to specific updates tailored for our primary and secondary sections.

Our team of caring and experienced teachers and leaders are committed to each student’s progress and success. We welcome parents and guardians to be active members of their children’s learning journey. Together, we empower students to become self-motivated and resilient lifelong learners who will approach the challenges of the future with confidence, collaboration and creativity.
